Mountain View Retirement Home is a Stage 2 rest home based in Maungatapere, only 10 minutes drive from Whangarei City centre offering friendship with an enhanced lifestyle, while providing 24 hour nursing care and medical assistance for our residents.

Set in private and sheltered cottage gardens with rural views, it is close to the city conveniences, yet has the beauty and peace of the Northland country side.

At Mountain View Retirement Home the goal for the residents in their care is to provide a friendly “home away from home” atmosphere and maximise residents’ abilities, skills and interests through activities in the rest home and ongoing involvement within the community.

Our resthome offers long term or short term stays, and respite, convalescent and rehabilitation care for the elderly and old aged. There is also the added security of knowing the owners, a Registered Nurse and Manager live on site.
